Valerie currently offers editing services related to high school and college applications, as well as resume and cover letter editing for job seekers. She is open to discussing additional freelance writing and editing projects.
Valerie served as Editor of offoffonline from September 2007 – September 2011. In this capacity she edited over 900 reviews, interviews and feature articles, and she hired and trained 25 staff writers. Prior to assuming the site’s Editorship she was the Fringe Editor from March-August 2007, responsible for hiring 20 Fringe Reviewers and editing 71 Fringe Festival reviews.
During the 2007-8 academic year, she was the Drama Editor of the Brooklyn Review, the Brooklyn College MFA program literary magazine. In addition, she has published reviews and articles in offoffonline and the Brooklyn Rail.
From 2003-2006, Valerie worked as a professional marketing writer, generating and editing materials for a law firm, a financial company, an event space and a business conference producer. Work samples including press releases, website copy, internal news articles, print brochures and more are available on request.
